The Ultra Team is our unique, high-performance lightweight design for foil, freeride, and surf. The combination of our proven single strut geometry with the new double-surface front tube, a thinner high-pressure front tube, and a high-tension canopy creates the ultimate efficient flying machine. This new design delivers a powerful kite that flies far forward in the wind window, achieving the perfect balance for exceptional light wind performance and ultra-light flying behavior.
The Ultra Team is a more responsive, faster, and lighter version of the Ultra, reinforced with H2 Ultra PE material.
DOUBLE SURFACE (DS) LEADING EDGE
The completely new double-surface (DS) leading edge design delivers outstanding performance with better glide, higher speeds, more dynamic flight behavior, improved upwind ability, and an extended wind range. The DS leading edge reduces turbulence and ensures smooth airflow, resulting in higher acceleration and lower drag. The reduced diameter of the leading edge and strut allows the kite to move faster through the wind window while generating powerful apparent wind for enhanced performance.
- H2 ULTRA PE We present the next generation of woven Ultra PE. When we launched Ho‘okipa as the first woven Ultra PE on the market, we were convinced that a woven outer layer instead of a film or coating offers the best abrasion resistance and durability. H2 takes this concept of the woven outer layer and increases the proportion of Ultra-PE yarn by 30%, significantly boosting strength. At the same time, we were able to reduce the weight by 30% without compromising on extreme toughness.
- TECHNOFORCE D2 This premium material is built with a high-density structure and uses high-strength, double-coated polyester yarns in a double ripstop construction. The double coating optimally protects the yarns from UV radiation and abrasion, ensuring the canopy remains shape-stable and responsive for as long as possible.
- LOAD FRAME TECHNOLOGY The Airush Load Frame is the key to defining the ultimate standard in durability without sacrificing weight. Ultra-high modulus yarns bear the main load of the canopy, prevent stretching, and improve long-term performance. The Load Frame is further reinforced by WebTech, used in areas traditionally covered by Dacron. This allows us to minimize or completely replace heavier materials and instead use ballistic high-modulus woven fibers—for more strength with less weight.
