Surf Side Fins Set - Prepreg Carbon
Prepreg Carbon
The new, ultra-light SUP Surf Side Fins are made from high-quality Prepreg Carbon technology and are specially designed for maximum performance in the wave.
They provide more thrust, better grip, and higher speed when accelerating out of turns, supporting a dynamic, controlled riding experience on the wave.
Surf Fins – Performance you can feel
The new, ultra-light carbon surf fins enhance performance in the wave, delivering more thrust, grip, and speed when accelerating out of turns.
The carbon twill construction creates an especially stiff fin that offers excellent hold and strong drive during bottom and top turns.
After numerous prototypes and tests, the design was adjusted so that the fin tip has a targeted slight flex. This creates a noticeable rebound effect, generating additional thrust and dynamics out of turns.
Since the profile widens toward the fin base, additional carbon layers are used there to increase stiffness and ensure even more drive and control.
The trailing edge features a 0.4 mm thin edge that ensures clean water release and high speed.
With an average weight of only 44 g per fin for the 4.5" side fin, the carbon surf fins are among the lightest surf fins on the market.
Prepreg Carbon
Performance you can feel
Starboard has developed a series of prepreg carbon fins based on the same ultra-light 3K prepreg twill carbon construction as the successful Lima paddle.
The prepreg 3K twill carbon fabric is especially light and provides exceptionally stiff performance throughout the entire fin.
The trailing edge features an extremely sharp 0.4 mm trailing edge designed for clean hydrodynamics and efficient water release.
The new fin series offers a new level of speed and performance.
Rai Taguchi won the 2024 ISA World Championship in Technical Racing with the new Samurai fin.
