The Fly Eco is the flagship of our 'Ocean Minded Spirit' strategy. An environmentally friendly premium product, made from flax, cork, and wood veneer (instead of classic fiberglass/PVC sandwich construction) and like all our boards with bio resin with a high plant-based content.
The board not only shows that it is possible to significantly reduce oil-based materials or replace them with organic substances, it also combines the fun factor of the Flys with an individual look & feel. We have minimized the graphics – the board primarily impresses with its materials. The unique flex behavior creates a pleasant feedback under the feet.
In our Eco technology, we use renewable materials such as flax, cork, wood, and bio resins instead of classic fiberglass and PVC sandwich layers. These natural materials are processed wherever possible and sensible without compromising the quality of the boards. Performance features• Fabric structure made of natural flax fiber offers a very good ratio of flex, weight, and durability and replaces the classic laminate of fiberglass and/or carbon• Cork as a sandwich layer cushions shocks and point loads very effectively and also replaces the oil-based sandwich material PVC• Bio resins from Sicomin contain higher plant-based proportions than usual resin. Bio resin is now used in most boards from Fanatic• Wood veneer from sustainable forestry is used extensively for the board bottom and provides not only a very noble look but also its own very good flex behavior
