WIND RANGE

The table serves only as a rough guideline. The data refers to a rider weighing 75kg. The correct kite size depends heavily on your own body weight, water/land conditions, and the board size and type (small twintip or hydrofoil). Let your own experience and common sense guide you in choosing the kite size. If in doubt about the right kite choice, better to choose one size smaller.
Hydro-Tech Construction
The material mix of the SUPERSONIC is designed to enhance performance under a variety of conditions. Porcher skytex 32 is used along the Leading Edge. It effectively prevents the formation of water droplets, which is especially useful in humid climates and rain to ensure clean airflow even there. All sizes 12, 15, 19, and 22 are equipped with skytex 32 – Leading Edges and 10D sailcloth.
Air Intake Line
Lines are stretched over all air intakes to ensure optimal airflow to the Leading Edge. The air intake lines keep the rigid foils positioned at the nose and prevent deformation of the intakes. The kite fills with air faster. When launching the foil kite, you gain control over the entire wingspan more quickly. The kite continues to fly toward the edge of the wind window even when overpowered; the leading edge bulges later, and depower works more efficiently.
High-Tensile Bridle Lines
The configuration of the bridle lines is crucial for the kite’s stability, performance, and control. A well-designed pulley system balances the forces acting on the structure and precisely controls its behavior. All levels of the SUPERSONIC consist of aramid pulley lines. The lines are coated with a UV-resistant layer. This protective coating extends the lifespan of the lines and reduces wear from sun exposure. The materials ensure that the lines retain their length and strength over time. Frequent adjustments through trimming or replacing individual wear parts are thus minimized.
CCB - Chord Cut Billow
The Chord Cut Billow is an advanced aerodynamic feature that optimizes airflow over the leading edge of our foil kites. It consists of a special precision cut that alters the profile of the leading edge to create smoother airflow. These cuts—known as “billows”—are strategically positioned to direct airflow in a way that reduces turbulence and mitigates the effects of surface irregularities. This results in minimal drag, improved maneuverability, and reduced backstall.
