The table serves only as a rough guideline. The data refers to a rider weighing 75kg. The correct kite size depends heavily on your own body weight, water/land conditions, and the board size and type (small twintip or hydrofoil). Let your own experience and common sense guide you in choosing the kite size. If in doubt about the right kite choice, choose one size smaller.

VMG
Formula Kite Racing, Olympic Sailing Class
The VMG was specifically developed for the demands of Formula Kite Racing competitions and is based on the technological know-how of our research and development team as well as the extensive experience of our athletes. This results in top-class angles and maximum speeds on the race track, setting standards in terms of kite performance. The VMG is undoubtedly the most successful and powerful racing kite on the market.
TECHNOLOGY
Closed-Cell Foil Kite
- Fine-tuned construction
The VMG's finely tuned designs improve the kite's downwind performance and control by reducing weight by 400g. VMG sizes 15, 19 and 21 feature an improved version of our groundbreaking two-stage low drag Dyneema bridle design. The VMG³ 11 has a two-stage design with an activated braking stage to improve downwind performance. The VMG³ 9 has a three-stage design with an activated braking level and is designed for stormy weather, giving the rider maximum control. Use the brake settings to adjust bar feedback and improve control. - Supported topsail
The two-stage bridle design requires an exceptionally rigid internal structure to fully support the minimized bridles. To reinforce the profile of the VMG, fiberglass rods are integrated into the internal rib construction. These rods are protected at the ends and can be replaced if necessary. As a result, the VMG experiences minimal deformation, ensures a clean airflow and offers a high level of stability in the air. This stability gives riders unwavering confidence and allows them to continually push themselves to their limits. - CCB Cut - Chord Cut Billow
The Chord Cut Billow is an advanced aerodynamic feature that optimizes airflow over the leading edge of our foil kites. It consists of a special precision cut that changes the profile of the leading edge so that the airflow is more even. These cuts, known as “billows,” are strategically positioned to direct airflow to reduce turbulence and mitigate the effects of surface irregularities. This ensures minimal drag, improved maneuverability and reduced backstall. - air intake line
Lines were stretched over all air inlets to ensure optimal flow to the leading edge. The air inlet lines hold the rigid foils on the nose in position and prevent the inlets from deforming. The kite fills with air more quickly. When starting the foil kite, the rider gains control over the entire wingspan more quickly. The kite continues to fly towards the edge of the wind window even when overpowered; the leading edge dents later and the depower works more efficiently. - Hydro-Tech Construction
The VMG's material mix is designed to increase performance under different conditions. The Porcher skytex 32 is used along the leading edge of the wing. It effectively prevents the formation of water droplets, which is particularly useful in humid climates to ensure clean air flow there too. Sizes 11, 15, 19 and 21 are equipped with Skytex 32 leading edges and 10D canvas - low weight plays an important role here. The VMG³ 9 uses our tested TX-Light. All kite sizes are available in Dusty Pink, Blue Jewel and Burgundy. The VMG³ 9 is only available in Dusty Pink.
