The combination of a lightweight fiberglass shaft and the new fiberglass-reinforced V-concave paddle blade made of polyethylene (PE) is a good alternative to heavier paddles made of aluminum. The shafts have a horizontally roughened surface for a good grip and are equipped with an aluminum extension and a comfortable ABS handle.
