Downwind Foil Parawing

The Ranger Parawing is a super-short-leashed single-skin kite that helps you get on the foil using the wind and can then be stored compactly, allowing you to freely harness the ocean's energy without paddling, wing, or kite. This lets you enjoy boundless freedom surfing the swell – whether on the lake, in the harbor, on the open sea, or on land. If you fall off the foil, simply pull out the Ranger and start again.

The Parawing features North's exclusive D-Rib technology, which diagonally supports the canopy, ensures optimal load distribution, and reduces the number of required bridle lines. This keeps the sail stable even when depowering via the bar and responds sensitively to steering inputs.

Another highlight is the depower tab – an innovation in the industry. It is easily accessible on the fluorescent yellow LE bridle line and works like a handbrake, allowing you to immediately reduce the kite's power. The tab can also be hooked at the end of the bar to depower while riding.

The Parawing opens up new downwind foil spots – perfect for riders with kite or wing experience who don't have advanced paddling skills. Additionally, the Ranger serves as a rescue canopy when wingfoiling or paddling, at the start or end of a downwind session, to get into good swells faster, for surfing waves without pumping or jetski – especially at pointbreaks with sideshore wind. It is suitable for spots where no wing is set up or kiting is prohibited, as well as for freestyle and freeride on land with the Track-Skateboard or Dune-Mountainboard, or even on ice skates, skis, or snowboard.
