Foil Accessory
The main task of the rear stabilizer is to ensure a smooth and stable flight. However, depending on conditions and personal preferences, a different stabilizer angle may feel better (the so-called "sweet spot").
Shims change the angle of attack (AOA) and thus the amount of lift the stabilizer generates within the entire foil system. To increase the AOA and the pressure on the front foot, you use a positive shim.
Even the smallest changes in the angle of attack can improve comfort, reduce fatigue, affect the pumping frequency, or change the turning radius when carving – as well as the weight distribution between the front and back foot, without changing your foot position.
With the Sonar Shim Kit, you can combine multiple shims. Starting from the base setting, the system covers a range from -0.5° to +2.5°.
This allows you to fine-tune the performance of your foil system – and precisely adjust your riding experience.
