DOWNWINDER
ENDLESS FLIGHTS
The new Downwinder was developed to make it as easy as possible to get on the foil and surf for as long as possible. The fascination of downwind foiling takes on completely new dimensions with the Downwinder.
The Downwinder is available in sizes 5'10" and 6'2" and was 100% designed for downwind foiling. The shape, inspired by race SUP boards, helps you get flying even in moderate conditions and ensures maximum control over the foil so you can fly as far as possible.
The elongated outline provides higher speed and also allows you to start with smaller foils, enabling you to fly long distances even faster. The increased volume in the nose makes the board easier to pump and thus easy to start even in difficult conditions. The lowered deck reduces the thickness of the board and provides a more direct feel to the foil.
Thanks to the rounded nose and rounded edges, which are slightly beveled towards the tail, the board is very easy to control during touchdowns. The kick in the tail lifts the board well out of the water and allows it to continue flying immediately after possible touchdowns. The outline tapers towards the rear, reducing the surface area of the board at the tail, which means the board slows down less during touchdowns and stays gliding.
The foil boxes are positioned forward, allowing the use of extreme high aspect wings. Additionally, the position can be adjusted to your own body weight, the foil, and your personal preferences. To reduce resistance while paddling and to provide an uninterrupted deck pad, handles on the bottom and deck have been omitted.
This board is completely aligned with the latest foil designs and will take your downwinding to a new level.
TECHNOLOGY
A special composition of high-quality biaxial fiberglass with PVC in the deck and hull ensures the best durability and stability. The lightweight finish achieves an optimal weight at a very attractive price. Features• Very good shock absorption thanks to 45° / 45° fabric• Maximum stability through an extra fiber layer with 90° fabric• Light and stable• PVC construction• Biax glass T-stringer for maximum stiffness• Lightweight finish
• FOIL TRACKS: Foil boxes positioned far forward for use with high aspect foils.
• RAILS: Rounded rails at the front of the board prevent catching on touchdowns, beveled edges at the tail for better water release when paddling in
• LOWERED DECK: For more paddle control and more direct foil control
• ROUNDED NOSE: For easier pop-up and controlled touchdowns
• ELONGATED OUTLINE: For more speed, to start with smaller foils
• TAIL KICK: For easier popping up and freer pumping of the board
• VOLUMINOUS NOSE: Extremely high volume in the nose for better pumping in challenging conditions
