Sonar Mast Shim
1.0° Trim Adjustment
Placing (shimming) the mast at the front edge raises the board nose and helps you maintain a more comfortable stance and better control at higher speeds.
Placing shims at the tail lowers the board nose at lower speeds (e.g., when pumping, dock starting, or downwind) and helps the foil get up on foil earlier.
Note: North Boards and Foils are designed to work optimally in their respective disciplines without shims. However, mast shims can be useful if you combine different Brands or use the board or foil outside their intended range.
