Starboard has developed a new line of pre-impregnated carbon fins. With the same super-light 3k Prepreg Twill Carbon layup that is based on our World Championship-winning Lima Paddle.
SUP surfers get a more powerful, responsive, engaged, and reliable fin setup.
The carbon twill construction provides a stiffer fin that delivers incredible drive while gripping and holding during bottom and top turns. After numerous prototypes and tests, the construction was tuned so that the fin tip has some flex, which provides reflexes and springiness in the turns. The wider the profile towards the fin base, the more carbon layers stiffen the performance for more drive and hold.
