The extraordinary free-fly performance of the TAO SH allows every surfer to carve their best turns. Freeriders can always rely on its comfort. In gusty conditions, it remains steady and calm in the hands. The TAO SH is especially suitable for beginners and safety-conscious riders.

Features

PRE-TENSIONED SAIL CLOTH: Pre-tensioning the sail is used to achieve the desired shape and control its aerodynamic properties. The pre-tension also eliminates wrinkles in the canvas, creating a smoother and more efficient surface. The stretching that occurs during use is minimized. This helps maintain performance during long-term use, as stretching can lead to deformation and reduced efficiency. Maneuvers can be carried out playfully and without much loss of speed.
ERGONOMIC STRUTSHAPE: The curved strut allows the handles to be held ergonomically so that the wrist can be positioned neutrally to the arm. The non-slip handles are deeply notched, oval-shaped and provide a comfortable, secure grip. This ensures increased control and precise control. Both features help reduce fatigue, which - especially during long sessions - increases water time.
AIR PRESSURE SEPARATION: To achieve the desired performance, stability and control, it is important to understand and control air pressure. The TAO's leading edge and strut must be filled separately to achieve different levels of stiffness to maximize control and handling. This allows the desired rigidity to be achieved. Quick assembly and disassembly is guaranteed.
FORWARD-SWEPT OUTLINE: Forward-swept wing design improves maneuverability by facilitating control and increasing agility. It also supports reactivity, improving rolling and lateral stability. The more forward mass and light wingtips increase acceleration as well as playfulness and improve top-end control.
ADVANCED TIP-FLEX: Advanced Tip-Flex provides controlled flexibility or bending of the wing tips. The feature improves the performance and efficiency of the wing during top speed and fast maneuvers. Controlled flexibility allows the wingtips to absorb and dampen dynamic forces and gust loads encountered during stormy sessions.
ENHANCED FRONT HANDLES: We have improved the balance of the wing in free hover. The stiffened front handle resembles a sports steering wheel and allows the wing to be guided precisely without delay. A neoprene patch underlies the handle to increase comfort and improve the handling of the wing while surfing, as well as to prevent injuries.
